Head Coach: Ryan Duffy    ryan.duffy@bendwaves.com

Ryan Duffy, an accomplished water polo coach, has significantly contributed to the sport's development in Central Oregon. A Saint Francis High School alumnus, Duffy won two CCS championships ('98-'99) and played for the Stanford Water Polo Foundation. Since moving to Bend in 2002, he initiated water polo programs at three high schools. As the Head Coach at Mountain View High School since 2006, he's fostered a thriving water polo culture. Under his guidance, the Mountain View boys achieved a 4th place finish in the Oregon 5A State Championships in 2012 and 2017, and won the title in 2013, 2015, and 2016. The girls' team also reached State Runner-up in 2015. In 2023, Duffy took over as Head Coach of the Bend Waves Water Polo Club. A family man, he enjoys outdoor activities with his wife, three sons, and their dog. Duffy is the 2019 recipient of the USA Water Polo—Bill Barnett Distinguished Men's Coaching Award.

Jen is a water polo mom, a wife, a college consultant, a teacher and a rock climber. She’s been working with kids since 1996 in one form or another. With more than 20 years of owning her own small businesses, Jen has the organization and vision to manage the behind the scenes operations for the club.  Her background in education and outdoor leadership provides a strong foundation in her management style. Jen is passionate and deeply rooted in the water polo community for over 5 years, as part of the Bend Waves and high school communities. You’ll often find Jen at the pool watching practices and chatting with players and parents. When she’s not at the pool or helping kids with college applications, you’ll find her doing activities with her husband and family or hanging on a climbing rope, pulling on rock​.

Chance Caruso’s journey with Bend Waves Water Polo Club began in 2012, marking the start of a decade-long relationship with the sport and the club. You can find Chance at the pool all summer long as he continues his passion for the sport and the community. Outside the pool, Chance is the owner of RAD Camps in the summer and a Wilderness EMT Ski Patroller in Park City, Utah in the winter. His passion for the outdoors and his experience in challenging environments have shaped his approach to leadership, emphasizing resilience, teamwork, and safety. Through his years with Bend Waves, Chance has contributed to the club’s growth and deeply immersed himself in the water polo community. His story with the club is a testament to his dedication to the sport and his belief in its power to positively impact lives.
